Nothing last forever

Nothing last forever..Why do people say things last forever? Things do change, either to better or to worse. I just hope everything can be like last time. When people know each other better, it is not a good thing, they tend to do things in anyway they want without thinking the other's feeling. Is this true? Why cant things just be like how they were? >.<
